Shortage of Food, or Used as a Weapon?

The more I dig deep into this food shortage scare, the more I begin to uncover other concerns over food.
Do we really know what goes into our food?. Is what ever is really going in causing the increase in health issues with people, thus the people that benefit are the large pharmaceutical companies?

My concerns are growing daily.
