Religion in 21st Century

Religion and the passion it generates are a major aspect of our humanity, hence a major force not only in the lives of the individual but a nation as well.

Western thinking for hundreds of years has divorced state from church or politics from spirituality, perhaps by mistake, thus just dealing with conflict where ever it may be through diplomacy following the normal political foreign policy routes.
This however in majority of cases has indeed failed to reach sound solutions, more so to international conflicts.
Religion and its role in diplomacy has been ignored, but now there is a ever growing need for religious diplomacy to play a key role in the overall scheme of conflict resolution.

I call upon Muslims scholars globally to take up this challenge in stepping forward to lead in this specialised field in peace keeping.
