The Role of Muslims

A question often discussed by many and some misguided, think that they can call for a new Islamic state, etc wherever they live.
I can only speak for the UK , my home and we still get misguided Muslims with wrong guidance, no correct understanding of Islam who we see and read about who shout the roof tops about making Britain Islamic.

Well my thoughts are this, it can not and will not happen.  The world is now completely secular ruled by the current dominant world power the US and it seems will continue that way.
First like I have often said in my sermons in mosques up and down the country, we are mainly in this mess globally as a result of us as Muslims turning away from Islam.
We have to deal with present times and these times are the 21st Century. We are living in times where religion per say has left the majority of peoples lives and hearts, including Muslim.

What is required is for Muslims first to get back in understanding the true meaning of Islam. Then through their example, life, character they can show this to others. As well its a time where yes we need to try are best to explain Islam and clear up misconceptions/misunderstandings. Its a time where with even the people who may be against Muslim or Islam to reach out to them in dialogue, in friendship and learn from each other and see each others points of views. Its called diplomacy. I'm not saying that Muslims must agree to everything that is going on in the world, certainly not and where oppression, injustice, slavery, corruption, abuse  etc is seen it should be spoken about, written about and where possible following correct legal means challenged and hopefully changed. Yes where we can we must as Muslims always show an alternative to a wrong situation, a better situation according to Islam, its our duty.
This to me is our role as Muslims in the world today.

Those that are screaming and shouting etc, sadly they continue to give us all a bad name and if they really wanted to follow Islam, all they need to do is to study the life of the Messenger SAW who brought us Islam from God. You will see or shall I say they will see that he the Messenger SAW did not act like some Muslims act that we see today and behave whether here in the UK or abroad..
