So let us fully understand that all the Prophets AS taught the same message of submission to the one God. Not only was the essence of their call the same many matters of worship were very similar from one Prophet to another.

Muslims are commanded to make ablution , washing before prayer, just as the former nations were told to do. With time these nations left the way of their messengers and consequently have lost this and other forms of worship as well.
