The main difference between the falcons and the other species of birds of prey is first the shape and design of the wings. They are long and pointed with a short tail and overall very streamline, like a racing car. hence the fast speeds they can and need to achieve on stoops.
What was more impressive was having the wonderful opportunity not only of studying the Peregrine Falcon but training them and flying and hunting them .
Seeing and working with these and the hawks, owls, eagles and vultures is a period of my life that stretched over 20yrs that I will cherish for always. Not forgetting it was by studying these birds all over the world that brought me into the fold of Islam.
The BBC filmed me on my work with vultures in the Arabian mountains and on my conversion to Islam
I hope you will agree with me, although vultures have had bad press over the years, ( bit like Muslims) they are impressive birds.
