Where is Happiness in the West?

We hear so much these days of reform, but the only way true happiness can be achieved fully is by science and the human endeavour and divine guidance working together in harmony.
Scientists can explain how things work but are void of the why?. You would imagine the scientist to be religious throughout, but they either stop themselves from thinking and contemplating or they know the truth of a creator  but for reasons only known to them they cannot declare that there is one God behind everything.
