1st sign of the sun and Britian strips off

I know I live in the UK, but as always the first real hot day and people go mad, they strip off reveal their horrible skinny white bodies and try and get roasted under the sun.
Its not normal is it to do this? well to these women that's what they want. I cannot work out why in hot countries like the  Middle East they have the hot days, but you don't see them walking round half naked......
But perhaps its just another "sign of the times" that some are aware of?
