One news item that people are still glued to but still do not really understand much about, is the Middle East Crisis. Here I refer to the ongoing issues between Palestine and Israel. it begun in 1917 by the Balfour Declaration which paved the way for a Jewish State to be installed right in the heart of Arabia. Why/ is the question as from 1917 until today we have continuous conflict which will not go away fro either side. the question is why it will not go away? For this to be explained can I suggest you read God, Guns and Israel by Jill Hamilton. This is a fascinating and well researched book which will explain to you the history leading up to the Balfour Agreement.
It will also enlighten you as to the massive push by British Prime Ministers and US Presidents and co who all came from a christian evangelical background in wanting to bring this idea to reality in which it did and today thousands,millions are paying the price of continuous conflict.
