Is it Worth the Money?

Is it really worth of this money in sending a craft to Jupiter, when the crisis on this planet needs sorting out. What we don't want is to take on another planet and destroy that at the rate we have and are destroying earth.
Why are we doing this? simple reason we have abused our home and taken more than needed. its called plain old greed. More for us less for you. That reminds me, its the old darwin theory of " survival of the fittest".
